Ms. Shreve and Ms. Meadows took a group of BCEC and BCCI students to see Rennie Harris Puremovement at the Diana Wortham Theater. Rennie Harris is one of America's most known and most respected hip-hop choreographers. BCEC first-year Danielle Hughes said the show was, "breath-taking and full of excitement!" Students learned about the history of hip hop dance in America through demonstrations and performances. Keep on the lookout for future enriching field trip opportunities at BCEC and BCCI! 💃🏼🕺🏾💃🏾 #changingpossibilites #buncombecountyschools #weareBCS #publicschoolproud

Mrs. Shreve's English 1 Honors class took their first trip to AB Tech's Don C. Locke library last week to prepare for their upcoming independent reading projects. With the guidance of library staff, students created book speed dating profiles to help their peers find books that they might like to check out. Over the course of the next month, students will work on different components of their project including book talks, creative projects, and reading logs. Thank you to the library staff for helping Mrs. Shreve with this activity.
