BCEC Alumni Spotlight

Morgan Avent Alumni Spotlight

My name is Morgan Avent, Early College graduate of 2018. In 2016 I moved to Asheville North Carolina with my mom and started my time at Buncombe County Early College. I was able to transfer to BCEC in 2016 as a third year because I came from a different early college. In my last year, I was part of student government while attending BCEC. After graduating in 2018 with my diploma and associates degree, I enrolled at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. At ETSU, I am majoring in Interior Architecture and minoring in Entrepreneurial studies. I will graduate ETSU in the fall of 2021. I plan to find a design job after graduation to get experience. My future goals include having my own architect and design business that works on unique homes and/or buildings.

Thank you to Morgan for being our first of many Alumni Spotlight. We hope to use this feature to connect and build a strong alumni network across the state, country and world! Students you are encouraged to reach out to these Alumni especially if you connect to their story or their path.
